I started running in the fourth grade so I could win the mile in PE, and beat all of the boys along the way. For the next few years, running remained a side-hobby while most of my time was dominated by year-round swim team. After breaking 11 minutes in the 2-mile off of little training, I realized I had the most potential in running and gave up competitive swimming. I competed for the NC State Wolfpack, but was quickly sidelined by injury. After some time away from the sport, I finished my final two years of NCAA eligibility at UNC-Chapel Hill. My favorite memory was running on the ACC Championship cross country team in 2014! I love team camaraderie and am excited to continue competing for the Aggies!

I currently live in Goleta and am pursuing my doctorate in History at UC Santa Barbara.

Fun Fact: I love languages. I have studied Spanish, Turkish, Afrikaans, and Dutch. I regularly use Afrikaans in my academic research. It's spoken in South Africa and is essentially a mixture of German and Dutch.

Favorite Aggie: This is way too tough! Kelsey Lakowske because we go way back. We competed in high school and then for rival ACC schools in college.
