SHOE PROGRAM WINNERS FOR JULY-DEC 2011:
Open Men: tbd
Women: tbd
Aggie Open Men are looking great this spring. They are secure at #1 in the PA Team standings. Masters Men are holding the #3 team spot for now, but it looks like they may move into second, any race now. Do it, guys!
Lady Ags hold 4th but we've got 3 in the top 10 of the Individual Long rankings: YiOu Wang at the top, and Jenny Wilson and Heather Gibson at 8 & 9 respectively. New Aggie, Tanya Ferreira is moving up from 16. Great job, ladies!
Speaking of Individual PA rankings, let's give a rundown of Men's Open, Masters & Seniors Long. For the Open guys, Sergio Reyes holds the top spot, with Jameson Mora at #5 and Carlos Siqueiros at 10. Kota Reichert is making his move from 13. High fives!
The Masters are still doin' it, with Rene Sepulveda currently at #7 and Jamey Harris at 9. Doug Steedman and Jeff Hongo are also moving up from 14 and 17. Doug is also #3 in the Senior Men rankings, followed by Jose Aispuro at 12. Awesome!
We've got 3 more Spring races: Zippy 5K tomorrow (4/22), Pacific 5K4Play 5/12, and Marin 10K on 5/28. Go Aggies...plow, plow, plow!
Hey Aggies, and Happy Birthday to Joe Rubio! The weather couldn't be more perfect for lots of running, not that it's ever stopped any Aggie before. 2012 is well under way and let us give a quick recap of some highlights so far.
Huge congratulations are in order for Linda Somers Smith, who was recently named as a Distance Runner Hall of Fame Inductee for the RRCA. We're so proud of her!
Additional congratulations to Gary Gellin for recently winning the Way Too Cool 50K; to Sergio Reyes and YiOu Wang for winning the first PAUSATF Road Race of the year - John Frank Memorial 10 Mile; and to Kevin Pierpoint for winning the inaugural 408K, organized by our own JT Service. Off to a great start, Aggies!
The Aggie Men rallied some Open and Masters runners together to place 2nd overall at the Memorial 10 Mile, thanks to the efforts of Sergio, Carl Dargitz, Carlos Siqueiros, Rene Sepulveda, Jose Aispuro and Doug Steedman. Nice work, guys.
Next up: Emerald Across The Bay 12K on Sunday, March 18. Everyone ready?
