Aggies, This is my call for volunteers for the Shoreline Open...Saturday...Oct. 23. The women's race is at 9:00am and the men's is at 9:45am. Racers will start registering about 8am. I need VOLUNTEERS to pull this thing off...it's a club fundraiser, a club gathering and a fine XC venue. Plus we have a picnic afterwards. The jobs I need people for are listed below. Please let me know if you can help with a reply email. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT I HEAR FROM YOU SO THAT I CAN TAKE A VOLUNTEER HEADCOUNT AND KNOW THAT WE WILL CAN PULL OFF A QUALITY MEET ! If you are racing, that's great, please stay around and help with clean up and if you can get there early enough- set-up. email: Jobs ----- Set-up Registration--Kieran runs this enterprise Data Entry--Hank owns this Timing/Finish Chute--again Hank Course Marking--Dirk's the man here Course Monitors--Charles owns this Lead/Follow Bikes--Charles owns this Clean-up Other Info. -------------- Racing: Aggies will be charged $10 to race pre-reg. and race day. Race times: Women 9:00 am, 5k Men 9:45am, 4.6mi. Picnic: Like last year, there will be food and drink for Aggies and families (bring the kids). The picnic will be nearby at Shoreline Lake at 12 noon. To get there drive all the way down Shoreline Bl. Go past the guard shack, drive another mile and park at the lake parking lot. We will gather on the grass on the right side of the lake. It will be a good time. Plan on it! Directions to the race: It's in Mountain View. Take the Shoreline Bl. exit off 101 towards the bay. Take a left on Amphitheatre Pkwy. Go 1/2 mile and park in the Google parking lot on the left. We'll have signs posted. You can also take the Rengsdorff/Amphitheatre Pkwy. exit towards thebay. Look for the signs and take a right into the Google parking lot. Thanks, -Charles
