| XC - UCSC Challenge; Santa Cruz - Saturday, September 20, 2008Heather shows the former Nike Farm Girls (now PDC) how it is done. She gets first place at her first XC race of the season. Rosemarie, Dolores "aka slugger", Trish, and Samo race behind her in a beautiful overcast day in the redwoods. Good news--no Rumble, just Romping! On the mens side, Schille jumps back into action taking 7th overall and first Masters. Then Hongo, Roger, Scott Graham, Carlos Sr., Hank Lawson, and Hashim. Nice work all. read more ... |
 | 40th Annual Journal Jog - Reno, NV - Saturday, September 20, 2008New Aggie open athlete Jon Cardenas makes his debut a good one, running away with the 40th annual Journal Jog in Reno. Jon runs 8 km at altitude in 25:20 all by himself. Other new Aggie member Tim Koepsell picks up 8th place. Welcome to the club, boys! |
 | Roads - BananaChase Grand Prix 5k Champs; SF, CA - Sunday, September 14, 2008Aggies steal top spots at this fruity 5k championships. The ladies were led by a remarkable performance from Katie Layman taking the womens win in 17:10. Nine secs back for 2nd was Heather Gibson and close by were new Ags Lauren Christman and Carrie Nash. The Fems finished one gal shy of a scoring (and winning for that matter) team. On the Masters side, Hongo is the first dog amongst the pups around him. Other at-one-time-or-another Ags were Jose Aispuro, Fab, Steedman, and others....just look at the list. On the open side, the men barely scraped by with a full team comprised of Sergio (overall win), Johnsrud and Hankins close by, then KP and Carlos. Open men take 2nd, women unscored, and Masters Men also 2nd. Great performances, a little shy on turnout. Next up on the roads, is Humboldt Half...... road trip anyone?!?!? read more ... |
 | XC - Golden Gate Open; SF, CA - Saturday, September 06, 2008Aggies get going in Cross Country this past Saturday previewing the championship course in Golden Gate Park. New Ag Ana Morales rocks the house with a win in the Open Womens race followed by Rosemarie, Tricia Frisella, New Ag Carrie Nash, and Dolores "slugger" Bergmann. Open men finish close together with Keith leading the way, followed by New Ag Sky Johnston, KP, Crosby, and Stover. Masters Men have Hongo snag 2nd, then Bobby G., Cushman, Tim Minor, and Ken Ellingboe. Open Women win the Team Title, while Open and Masters Men take 2nd. Great job all. read more ... |

| Roads- Hares and Hounds 5k Race; Atascadero, CA - Saturday, August 23, 2008"Say What??? Prize money this year? I'm there!" Local Aggies show up for a shot at the most competitive 5k on the Central Coast this year. With an Aggie contigent pushing the pace, Phil tops out the group with a 14:38 on the much hilly course with Reyes a close second. Johnsrud, new Aggie Justin Banks, 'pede member Shane Dougherty, Insane Ruane rounded out the group. The fems had Kara June take down the win with Derego following up in 2nd. Best part of all, is that those that stuck around eventually won a raffle prize. read more ... |

| Roads - Wharf to Wharf; Santa Cruz - Sunday, July 27, 2008Aggies come out for this coastal shindig. Men were led by Phil Reid (6th), Brandon Collins,(48th), Hongo (57th), Bobby G. (66th), Nick Fill (73rd), Jose Aispuro (78th), '06 'pede member Dave Monico (82), and maybe a few others. Women were headed up by Katie Layman (10th), Linsday Gardina next in 12th, and the Hub Fortino in 40th. If only we could get participation like this at the PA series.
