This time, co-sub-race-coordinator for the Silicon Valley Marathon later this month, JT Service shares his athlete experience with those ipod-listening, bandaid-wearing, fannypack-carrying, rec-running joggers.  Me thinks this dude is full of BS, but hey, whatever gets him the big chicks, right?

While the women apparently boycott this one, the men are led by Ron Tibaduiza taking 3rd overall, followed by new Ag Tim Koepsell and then Roger.  On the Masters side, Schille and Hongo go 1-2, with Fab in 11th, Chuck in 24th, Doug 38th, then Gordon and Hashim.

Miss Morales continues her winning streak here taking the win by close to a minute.  She's followed by Dolores and Samo.  Pierpoint is first on the dude's side finishing 3rd overall.  Masters fellas Schille and Hongo not too far back, then Roger, Scott Graham, Gordon, and Ed Klotz.

Phil rounds out a top 10 finish at this fast flying 5k.  Solid performance for the day with a 14:22.

Heather shows the former Nike Farm Girls (now PDC) how it is done.  She gets first place at her first XC race of the season.  Rosemarie, Dolores "aka slugger", Trish, and Samo race behind her in a beautiful overcast day in the redwoods. Good news--no Rumble, just Romping!  On the mens side, Schille jumps back into action taking 7th overall and first Masters.  Then Hongo, Roger, Scott Graham, Carlos Sr., Hank Lawson, and Hashim.  Nice work all.

New Aggie open athlete Jon Cardenas makes his debut a good one, running away with the 40th annual Journal Jog in Reno.  Jon runs 8 km at altitude in 25:20 all by himself.  Other new Aggie member Tim Koepsell picks up 8th place.  Welcome to the club, boys!

Aggies steal top spots at this fruity 5k championships.  The ladies were led by a remarkable performance from Katie Layman taking the womens win in 17:10. Nine secs back for 2nd was Heather Gibson and close by were new Ags Lauren Christman and Carrie Nash.  The Fems finished one gal shy of a scoring (and winning for that matter) team.  On the Masters side, Hongo is the first dog amongst the pups around him.  Other at-one-time-or-another Ags were Jose Aispuro,  Fab, Steedman, and others....just look at the list.  On the open side, the men barely scraped by with a full team comprised of Sergio (overall win), Johnsrud and Hankins close by, then KP and Carlos.  Open men take 2nd, women unscored, and Masters Men also 2nd.  Great performances, a little shy on turnout.  Next up on the roads, is Humboldt Half...... road trip anyone?!?!?

Aggies get going in Cross Country this past Saturday previewing the championship course in Golden Gate Park.  New Ag Ana Morales rocks the house with a win in the Open Womens race followed by Rosemarie, Tricia Frisella, New Ag Carrie Nash, and Dolores "slugger" Bergmann.  Open men finish close together with Keith leading the way, followed by New Ag Sky Johnston, KP, Crosby, and Stover.  Masters Men have Hongo snag 2nd, then Bobby G., Cushman, Tim Minor, and Ken Ellingboe.  Open Women win the Team Title, while Open and Masters Men take 2nd.  Great job all.

Sergio, looking for an excuse not to come to camp, pulls off a 1:02:53 for 16th in the 20K National Championship.

Ron Tibaduiza takes on the college kids on his home turf in Reno and comes away with a 20 second victory over Fresno State and UC Riverside harriers.  Running under the lights and in a wind storm, Ron runs 20:33 for a hilly 6 km at Rancho San Rafael Park.

"Say What???  Prize money this year?  I'm there!"  Local Aggies show up for a shot at the most competitive 5k on the Central Coast this year.  With an Aggie contigent pushing the pace, Phil tops out the group with a 14:38 on the much hilly course with Reyes a close second.  Johnsrud, new Aggie Justin Banks,  'pede member Shane Dougherty, Insane Ruane rounded out the group.  The fems had Kara June take down the win with Derego following up in 2nd.  Best part of all, is that those that stuck around eventually won a raffle prize. 

Our new recruit Ana Morales just won the San Francisco 2nd Half in 1:14.

Tim Wakefield, new Aggie member and masters runner, won the Hayward Classic Masters 1500m on our favorite track.  Tim blew away all other old dudes, running 4:25 and getting his winning mug on RunnerSpace. 

Aggies come out for this coastal shindig.  Men were led by Phil Reid (6th),  Brandon Collins,(48th), Hongo (57th), Bobby G. (66th), Nick Fill (73rd), Jose Aispuro (78th), '06 'pede member Dave Monico (82), and maybe a few others.  Women were headed up by Katie Layman (10th), Linsday Gardina next in 12th, and the Hub Fortino in 40th.  If only we could get participation like this at the PA series.  Please contact site management with the post-race festivity details that drew all these ags to attendance on an early Sunday morning.

Somewhere in the Vanhendergeldenmunchen.... our elites continue their track seasons racking up some new PR's.  Kara runs down a new PR in the steeple-less 3k coming in at 9:21.  Meanwhile Tetlo runs the night's fastest 800m to give himself a new PR of 1:46.04.  Outstanding results as these athletes continue their tour de european track races.  More including photos, results, and interview videos on flotrack.  (http://track.flocasts.org/videos)

Sergio runs this half marathon fat and outta shape, only having run 1hr long runs thus far.  Don't try this at home or risk a great deal of pain.
